Hi!
My name is Terje Bratholm Eidsvik, 25 years old, born and raised in Ålesund, a city on the west coast of Norway. This is my fourth year at AHO, studying architecture. In my spare time I like to paint, sketch and do illustrations. Still, I am trying to combine hand drawing and computer drawing.

This project is from last semester. It is a cultural center in Groruddalen, the fastest growing area between Oslo and Lillestrøm. Based on analysis which showed bad conditions for children growing up, particurlarly immigrants, I wanted to create a place at Furuset (Groruddalen) which unite culture and sports and a wide leisure offer for kids.

This project is a part of an upgrade for a whole area. It is located i connection to subway, bus and car parking. The house is detached, but close to school, sport arenas and utilizes existing buildings. Old and new buildings and roads expand the centre of Furuset. I have concidered the local climate conditions, thinking of using daylight as natural light source and improve air conditions.

  1. Terje. I'm happy to read about you concern for children. I also like that you try to give other buildings new meaning by building yours.

Now that you have worked with Groruddalen there is alot of sites to attack in Skedsmo and Romerike!
