connecting plains

click image for complete presentation boards

The project proposes the high speed rail connection from Bergen to Oslo through the
Gardermoen region. An interchange is located at
Gardermoen Næringspark, and is connected to the extended Gardermoen-Trondheim high speed line at Oslo Gardermoen Airport through a light rail system. The extension of this light rail system from Gardermoen Næringspark forms the missing link from the airport to its major edgecity, Jessheim.

An elevated green topography houses the infrastructural upgrades at Gardermoen Næringspark that
orientates and connects communities in the area to their rich ecological surroundings. It establishes the permanent green structure that would shape surrounding urban mixed-use development catalysed by intensified transport infrastructures.

Additional maps and info

Hi all,

I found some information on Gardermoen Næringspark which describes the plans they have for the Gardermoen and its surrounding areas. Although, it's only in Norwegian :(

digital architecture studio

The studio concentrated on the potential of material systems to generate alternative spatial and programmatic conditions. Practices of diagrams, material systems and time-based planning are used to create non-standard architecture.

A hybrid of two material systems, the geodesic and the tension membrane were researched to develop a design for a music school. The design proposed the occupation of two existing buildings next to the site to free up the groud level for a central access to an 80 storey office tower behind.

1. kinetic model exploration of material system in the physical realm

2. section illustrating the interation of spaces through material system

3. architectural response of material system to site and program

EMERGING URBAN TERRITORIES

The course studies emerging urbanized fields in the Oslo region, specifically investigating a sample of territory enclosed between the city of Lillestrøm and Gardermoen airport. Projects will explore the relationship between landscape, infrastructures and urban development in order to unveil the potential for new landscape and architectural transformations. The course shall develope operative parameters for Landscape architecture based on the contextual and site specific characteristics, and hence inform individual projects for the design of new landscape, infrastructural and architectural structures.
Welcome!
