The studio concentrated on the potential of material systems to generate alternative spatial and programmatic conditions. Practices of diagrams, material systems and time-based planning are used to create non-standard architecture.
A hybrid of two material systems, the geodesic and the tension membrane were researched to develop a design for a music school. The design proposed the occupation of two existing buildings next to the site to free up the groud level for a central access to an 80 storey office tower behind.

Dear Jian Li - nice that you choose to post this project! systemic thinking is really what links architecture to landscape in the closest sense. I am very curious to hear what you know more about geodesics and their ecological implications!
